Registered Nurse – Telemetry (Cardiovascular)

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite | Every other weekend required (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights); holiday coverage may be required during the assignment period
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a cardiovascular telemetry unit, including overflow telemetry patients
- Monitor and assess patients on a 54-bed unit divided into three 18-bed wings
- Perform telemetry monitoring and respond appropriately to cardiac changes and events
- Adhere to unit-specific protocols and maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record
- Float to other units as needed based on facility census and staffing requirements
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license valid in Virginia or a valid compact nursing license with proof provided at time of submittal
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- ACLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale) certification and stroke education
- Minimum of one year of specialty experience in telemetry or cardiovascular nursing within the last year
- EPIC electronic health record experience required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- PALS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Flexible scheduling availability with the ability to minimize time-off requests during the assignment period
- One supervisory professional reference available at time of submittal
