Job Title

Travel RN – Medical Surgical / Inpatient Rehabilitation (Night Shift)

Location

Overland Park, Kansas

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Three 12-hour shifts per week, rotating every third weekend

Key Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to patients on a 16-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit, including post-stroke, neurological, orthopedic surgical, and medical patients requiring increased therapy
Serve as point person on night shift, coordinating care alongside one to two additional RNs, LPN, and PCT staff
Accurately document patient assessments, care plans, and outcomes using the Meditech EMR system
Utilize rehabilitation-specific documentation practices to support patient progress and interdisciplinary communication
Float to other medical floors as needed per unit floating policy
Operate Welch Allyn equipment and adhere to unit-specific guidelines and dress code requirements (royal blue scrub top and bottom, or black scrub bottoms)

Required Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
Minimum of 2 years of RN experience
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Experience with medical-surgical or inpatient rehabilitation patient populations

Preferred Experience / Skills

ACLS or PALS certification
Basic Dysrhythmia course completion
Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN) certification
Prior experience with rehabilitation documentation practices
