Floating MRI Technologist
Location
Charleston, SC
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift | 5x8s (12:30 PM – 9:00 PM), with potential for 4x10s or 3x12s. Saturday shifts (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM) required on a rotating basis, totaling 40 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality MRI examinations in accordance with established protocols for physician interpretation across patient populations.
- Conduct general MRI exams including implants, elastography, defecography, breast, and cardiac imaging.
- Float between an outpatient clinic location and a mobile MRI unit, traveling to the secondary location one to two times per week.
- Operate as both an in-house MRI Technologist and a Mobile MRI Technologist depending on assigned location for the day.
- Report to the site supervisor and radiology manager, following departmental policies and procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisory staff.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of MRI experience required; first-time travelers accepted.
- Active BLS certification required.
- ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification required; state license is not required.
- Radiation badge required — must be provided by the staffing agency prior to start.
- Proficiency with Siemens MRI equipment required.
- Ability to float between multiple outpatient locations as needed.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Sectra imaging systems preferred.
- Familiarity with Epic electronic health records preferred.
