Contract | Day Shift (0630–1830) | 3 days per week, 12-hour shifts | 36 guaranteed hours per week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, care planning, nursing interventions, reassessments, and evaluation of care provided within the RN scope of practice
• Monitor patients for changes in condition and report abnormal findings to the appropriate provider in a timely manner
• Administer medications, IV therapy, oxygen therapy, blood products, and other treatments accurately; operate infusion pumps and document in the electronic health record
• Complete required Cerner documentation including use of Care Compass to organize and document assessments, care tasks, procedures, and patient education
• Provide patient and family education related to disease process, treatment plans, medications, pain management, wound care, discharge planning, and follow-up care
• Collaborate with providers, staff, and other departments to support interdisciplinary patient care; serve as a mentor to other nursing staff

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of Med/Surg or Emergency Room RN experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Cerner EHR/EMR experience required
• Graduate of an accredited RN program required
• Current Colorado RN license (or ability to obtain), in good standing
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS required or must be completed within 3 months of start

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Demonstrated knowledge of cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation
• Experience with SBAR communication format for care transitions
• Familiarity with National Patient Safety Goals and infection prevention practices
