Job Title

Travel Registered Nurse – Neuroscience ICU (NSICU)

Location

Asheville, North Carolina

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care in a 12-bed Neuroscience ICU at a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
Care for neurology patients post-thrombectomy and post-TPA administration
Manage post-neurosurgery patients and monitor neurological status
Perform and assist with unit-level procedures including CRRT, bedside EVD management, and A-line monitoring
Document patient care accurately using Cerner electronic health records
Float to other ICUs or step-down units as needed per unit floating policy

Required Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
Current ACLS certification
Current BLS certification
NIHSS certification
Proficiency with Cerner documentation system and Baxter infusion pumps

Preferred Experience / Skills

Prior experience caring for neurology ICU patients, including stroke and neurosurgical populations
Experience with CRRT, external ventricular drains (EVDs), and arterial line monitoring
Ability to self-schedule while meeting unit weekend shift requirements (6 weekend shifts per scheduling period)
