Travel Registered Nurse – Oncology
Location
Dallas, Texas
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Travel | 14-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Onsite | Rotating Weekends
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a dedicated Oncology unit with a patient ratio of 4:1 (max 5:1)
- Perform sterile dressing changes following infection prevention protocols
- Administer blood and electrolyte replacements in accordance with unit protocols on a daily basis
- Operate and manage Baxter infusion pumps and document care using Meditech EMR
- Collaborate with a team including charge nurses, fellow RNs, and Patient Care Technicians across a 41-bed unit
- Float to designated areas as required per unit guidelines
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Texas
- Minimum 1 year of Oncology nursing experience
- Strong proficiency in sterile dressing changes and infection prevention practices
- Solid understanding of blood and electrolyte replacement process and protocols
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- General Medical Oncology background
- Experience with ports and central lines
- Familiarity with Meditech EMR
