Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery
Location
Flowood, Mississippi
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Travel | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | 8-Week Assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to laboring and postpartum patients throughout the Labor & Delivery unit
- Monitor fetal heart rate patterns and respond appropriately to changes in maternal or fetal status
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure safe delivery outcomes
- Administer medications, initiate IVs, and perform assessments in accordance with facility protocols
- Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner within the facility's electronic medical record system
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Mississippi
- Minimum of 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
- Advanced NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
- Current BLS certification required
- Current ACLS certification required
- Fetal monitoring competency required
- Permanent residence must be located 50 or more miles from the facility
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a high-volume Labor & Delivery setting
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) documentation in a hospital environment
