Job Title

Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical (Days)

Key Responsibilities

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care delivery for assigned Med Surg patients
Provide clinical leadership to the patient care team throughout the assigned shift
Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes in patient status
Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
Accurately document patient care activities and clinical findings in the electronic medical record

Required Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience required
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Illinois (must reflect Active status)
Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association required within 30 days of start
Completed skills checklist current within the past year, pertinent to Med Surg or Telemetry
Two completed supervisory reference forms with dates of employment listed

Preferred Experience / Skills

Experience with Cerner electronic medical records system
Background in telemetry or a related acute care specialty
