Description

Job Title

Registered Nurse – PACU

Location

Atlanta, GA

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 3 x 12-hour shifts (36 hours/week) | Includes on-call and weekend requirements

Key Responsibilities

Provide post-anesthesia nursing care to patients recovering from surgical or procedural interventions
Monitor and assess patient status during the immediate post-operative recovery phase
Respond to on-call assignments, including 2 weeknight call shifts per month (11:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Fulfill one 12-hour weekend evening shift per week (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams to ensure safe patient transitions and handoffs

Required Qualifications

Active Georgia RN license or valid Compact RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
Minimum of 18 months of PACU experience
Ability to work 12-hour night shifts including weekends and on-call obligations

Preferred Experience / Skills

Experience in a high-volume or academic medical center PACU setting
Strong critical thinking and rapid assessment skills in a post-anesthesia environment
