Occupational Therapist (OT) – Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU) – Travel Contract

Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 Weeks) | Days | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM | 32 Guaranteed Hours per Week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy evaluations and treatments to patients on the Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU) and Medical/Surgical floor as needed
• Float between ARU and Medical/Surgical units to cover evaluations and treatments as census and staffing require
• Deliver care to a geriatric and adult patient population across general diagnoses
• Document patient care and progress using Net Health electronic health record system
• Work a minimum of one weekend per month as part of the regular schedule
• Report to and collaborate with the unit Program Director regarding patient care and departmental needs

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Active OT licensure in the state of Iowa (or eligibility to obtain prior to start)
• Minimum of 1 year of occupational therapy experience
• Ability and willingness to float between ARU and Medical/Surgical units as needed

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience working in an acute rehabilitation or medical/surgical inpatient setting
• Familiarity with Net Health documentation platform
