Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit with a focus on orthopedic and bariatric patient populations
• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Administer and manage medications utilizing the Pyxis medication dispensing system
• Accurately document all patient care activities and assessments within the EPIC electronic medical records system
• Float to other like units or nearby facilities as needed based on census demands, performing only tasks within demonstrated and documented competencies
• Complete required pre-assignment modules within 48 hours of receiving system access prior to contract start

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of South Carolina
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience with EPIC EMR
• Minimum of 2 years of overall RN experience; first-time travelers must have a minimum of 3 years of experience within the Medical Surgical/Telemetry specialty
• Proficiency with the Pyxis medication management system

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience caring for orthopedic and/or bariatric patient populations
• Previous travel nursing experience
