Contract | Nights (18:45–07:15) | 36 or 48 hours per week | 13–26 week assignments | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Neurology unit with a 1:6 patient ratio, focusing on general medicine and neurological diagnoses
• Utilize facility systems including Pyxis, EPIC, and SBAR for medication administration, documentation, and communication
• Adhere to patient safety standards and apply a teamwork-based approach to care delivery
• Float to other units within or near the facility as required, with travelers floating first
• Fulfill weekend shift requirements, averaging every other weekend (5–6 weekend shifts per contract period)
• Be prepared to serve on a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team and report to work during catastrophic events, mass casualty incidents, or disasters as required

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Carolina or a Compact state license (pending licensure acceptable for submission)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Must pass EKG testing prior to assignment start
• Willingness to float within and near the facility per assignment requirements

Preferred Experience / Skills

• NIH Stroke Scale certification and/or neurology nursing experience strongly preferred
• Experience in or willingness to learn the charge nurse role preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience is a plus, though not required
