Registered Nurse – ICU (MICU)
Location

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | 36 or 48 hours per week option | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert critical care nursing to critically ill patients in a 20-bed Medical ICU setting
- Manage patients with complex conditions including respiratory failure, acute and chronic kidney failure, liver failure, overdoses, and septic shock
- Administer and monitor IV drips; drip competency is required on all floors
- Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records
- Float within scope of practice to meet facility staffing needs across multiple units, including potentially a secondary campus
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team including CNAs, care techs, transport team, and paramedics/swoop staff
Required Qualifications
- Active or pending RN license for the state of Nebraska (candidates with pending licensure will be scheduled to start six weeks from submission date)
- Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience in a large, urban hospital setting
- BLS certification required
- Proficiency with EPIC charting required
- IV drip administration experience required
- Candidate must reside more than 100 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ACLS certification preferred
- Experience at a Level I Academic Medical Center
