Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry
Location
Lubbock, TX
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Nights (3x12 Hours, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite | Weekends required per scheduling needs
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit within a short-term acute care facility
- Deliver post-operative care management including orthopedic and trauma patients
- Perform blood administration and wound vac management
- Maintain patient ratios of 1:5–6 in accordance with unit guidelines
- Float between units as needed based on staffing and census requirements
- Adhere to facility dress code and departmental policies throughout the assignment
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience in Medical Surgical or Telemetry
- Experience with orthopedic trauma care, post-operative care management, blood administration, and wound vac management
- Ability to commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront at time of submittal
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify under travel compliance guidelines
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience in a Medical Surgical or Telemetry setting
- Familiarity with Level II Trauma Center environments and acute care workflows
- Experience floating between units or sister facilities
