Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Surgical Orthopedics unit, including post-operative and general medical patients
• Care for surgical patients across multiple specialties including general surgery, orthopedics, bariatrics, plastics, and urology
• Manage patients presenting with conditions such as appendectomies, cholecystectomies, colorectal surgeries, small bowel obstructions, amputations, and joint replacements
• Document patient care accurately using the Cerner electronic documentation system
• Float within the hospital within scope of practice as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – valid Maryland or Compact license required at time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a Medical Surgical or related setting
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Proficiency with Cerner documentation system
• Ability to float within the hospital within scope of practice

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with orthopedic surgical patients including joint replacements and spine surgery
• Familiarity with bariatric, plastic surgery, or urology patient populations
• Travel nursing experience preferred, though first-time travelers will be considered
