Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 30-Minute Unpaid Lunch

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a combined Surgical/Neuro Telemetry unit serving up to 48 beds across two floors, maintaining a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Monitor and interpret telemetry strips independently, signing off on strip interpretation at least once per shift
• Care for a diverse patient population including respiratory, GI, diabetic, TIA/CVA, general surgical, orthopedic, and spinal surgical patients
• Administer and manage set-rate drips including Diltiazem; titration of drips is not required
• Operate and monitor respiratory equipment including BiPAP, CPAP, high-flow oxygen, and administer breathing treatments as needed
• Adhere to self-scheduling within a 4-week schedule framework, including 2 weekend shifts per 4-week period and rotating holiday coverage

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in good standing
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Ability to read and interpret basic telemetry strips
• Prior experience with general and orthopedic surgical patients as well as CVA/TIA patients

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Cerner electronic health records system strongly recommended due to limited on-unit orientation time
• Familiarity with PCU-level care, as floating to a PCU may be required if qualified
• Experience working with respiratory support equipment including BiPAP, CPAP, and high-flow oxygen
