Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Nights, 3x12 (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 36 Hours Guaranteed Per Week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a 24-bed high-acuity ICU serving medical, surgical, trauma, and stroke patients
- Titrate complex IV drips including vasopressors and manage critically ill patients with varying acuity levels
- Operate and monitor equipment including IV pumps, chest tubes, GE monitoring systems, Arctic Sun, glucometers, and feeding pumps
- Document and manage patient care using EPIC EMR
- Float to areas of clinical competence as needed based on unit staffing and census
- Adhere to weekend and standby call requirements, including availability to report within 1 hour for low census callback
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a high-acuity ICU setting
- BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) only
- PALS and TNCC certifications required
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex patients including traumas, strokes, and STEMI cases
- Flu vaccination required (November 1 – April 1); no declinations or exceptions accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- NIHSS certification preferred
- Prior experience in a Level II Trauma, certified STEMI, or certified Stroke Center environment
- Familiarity with caring for highly complex, multi-system critical care patients
