Key Responsibilities
- Regularly assess patient needs and provide skilled nursing services in accordance with the physician-authorized plan of care and accepted standards of nursing practice.
- Deliver direct patient care including medication administration, treatments, responding to call lights and alarms, and assisting with patient transfers.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans and collaborate with the care team to update or revise plans based on current patient information.
- Process physician and provider orders accurately, completely, and in a timely manner.
- Follow up on medication changes and order clarifications to ensure continuity and accuracy of care.
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Michigan (verified Active status via LARA and/or Nursys required).
- Minimum of 2 years of Observation nursing experience.
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- Current skills checklist (within the last year) pertinent to Ambulatory/Observation specialty.
- Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years.
- Candidate's permanent address must be outside a 50-mile radius of the facility.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Epic EMR.
