Contract | Night Shift | Onsite | Shifts: 6:30 AM–7:00 PM / 6:30 PM–7:00 AM

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 55-bed Med Tele/Med Tele Neuro unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5–6
• Manage a diverse patient population including joint replacements, fractures, colon resections, COPD exacerbations, sepsis, GI bleeds, pneumonia, and ortho trauma
• Titrate drips including Heparin, lidocaine, and ketamine; manage PCA pumps
• Maintain telemetry awareness and collaborate with tele techs for strip interpretation
• Perform hourly rounding and support high volumes of daily admissions and discharges
• Float as needed to other medical surgical areas or units with MedSurg patients

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Ability to pass a unit-specific open-book skills exam with a minimum score of 90% during orientation
• Willingness to comply with facility fingernail policy (artificial nails prohibited in patient care areas)
• Availability to work every other weekend with potential for additional weekend coverage based on department need
• Availability for 2–3 holidays between Thanksgiving and New Year's

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
• Prior experience in a Med Surg or Telemetry setting
• Experience caring for culturally diverse patient populations, including multilingual patients
