Registered Nurse – Observation
Location
Zanesville, OH
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | 36 hours per week | Evening/Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every other weekend required | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on an Observation unit
- Float to other Med-Surg units including Respiratory, Stroke, and Cardiac as needed
- Float to the Emergency Department when appropriately skilled and knowledgeable
- Monitor and interpret telemetry and BCRA readings
- Document and manage patient information using Epic EMR
Required Qualifications
- Active RN licensure in the state of Ohio
- Minimum 3 years of current and recent Telemetry and/or Med-Surg experience
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret Telemetry/BCRA — competency will be assessed on day one
- Current proficiency in Epic EMR — must be fully proficient prior to start; no refresher or on-site training will be provided
- Active BLS certification required
- Active ACLS certification required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in an Observation or step-down unit setting
- Familiarity with Emergency Department workflows and patient care
