Registered Nurse – NICU
Location

Contract | Nights (3x12 Hours, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a NICU setting with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Perform ongoing assessments, monitoring, and documentation for neonatal patients
- Occasional floating to nursery or baby transition nurse role may be required during high delivery volumes, which includes routine newborn care, vitals, head-to-toe assessments, skin-to-skin support, breastfeeding assistance, and routine labs
- Accurately document all patient care activities using Epic EMR
- Adhere to weekend requirements, including the equivalent of every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday) plus two Fridays per six-week schedule
- Commit to working three of five designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
Required Qualifications
- Active California RN license (must be in hand at time of submission; pending licenses not accepted)
- Minimum of 2 years of NICU experience
- Current BCLS and NRP certifications required
- LA fire card obtained within the last 30 days required
- Must disclose any license or background hits at time of submission; no open license hits will be approved
- Two professional references covering at least one year of experience within the last three years required during compliance process
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Epic EMR strongly preferred
- Prior experience in a Magnet-designated acute care facility is a plus
- Familiarity with newborn transition care, including routine assessments and breastfeeding support
