Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00–19:00) | 13 or 26-Week Contract Options | 36 or 48-Hour Weekly Options Available
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on Medical Surgical and/or Telemetry units within a large, acute-care hospital setting
- Administer and manage IV drips in accordance with unit protocols and patient care plans
- Document all patient care activities accurately using EPIC electronic health record system
- Float within scope of practice to various units and potentially to a sister campus location to meet staffing needs
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team including CNAs, care techs, transport team, swoop/paramedics, and LPNs where assigned
- Adhere to all facility policies including weekend rotation, holiday requirements, and nicotine-free workplace standards
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nebraska or pending licensure (pending licenses will be booked six weeks out from start date)
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a large, urban hospital setting
- BLS certification required
- Proficiency with EPIC charting system required
- Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility (local candidates not accepted)
- Must be available to float to multiple units and a sister campus as needed
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ACLS certification strongly preferred
- Experience at a Level I Academic Medical Center
- Background in specialty areas such as Neuro, Oncology, Trauma, Cardiac, Transplant, or PCU/Stepdown care
