Travel RN – Postpartum / Mother Baby
Location
Thornton, Colorado
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Full-Time | Onsite | Projected Start: August 2026
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct postpartum and gynecological nursing care in a unit with 14 LDRPs and 2 ORs, following AWHONN guidelines
- Maintain patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:2 for Labor & Delivery and up to 3:1 for Postpartum patients
- Assist with and support procedures including versions, C-sections, vaginally assisted deliveries, and D&Cs
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including charge RNs, Labor & Delivery RNs, and CNAs across day and night shifts
- Utilize electronic medical record systems (CPN and Meditech) and unit equipment including Beacon technology
- Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients, families, and staff to ensure high-quality patient-centered care
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of current acute care Postpartum RN experience (candidates without this experience will not be considered)
- Active RN licensure in good standing
- Current BLS certification
- Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Labor & Delivery experience
- Prior experience with Meditech EMR
- Flexible, adaptable, and team-oriented professional with strong communication skills and a patient-care-first approach
