Registered Nurse – LTAC (Long-Term Acute Care)

Contract | Travel | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | 13-Week Assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and facility policies and procedures
• Demonstrate critical thinking skills and scientific judgment in the anticipation and planning for safe delivery of patient care
• Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education and adherence to facility standards
• Delegate patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of available staff
• Provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care
• Monitor and manage patients requiring ventilator and tracheostomy care, central line management, and wound care as applicable

Required Qualifications

• Active Indiana RN license or multi-state compact RN license
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in LTAC or a related acute care setting
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications through the American Heart Association
• Demonstrated experience with ventilator and tracheostomy management
• Knowledge of central line care and maintenance

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience
• Wound care experience in an acute or long-term acute care setting
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring in an LTAC environment
