Contract | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in a Level 2 NICU with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:1–3, managing diagnoses such as hypoglycemia, mild respiratory distress, phototherapy, IV antibiotic therapy, and care of pre-term infants
• Attend C-section and vaginal deliveries in a supporting role focused exclusively on newborn care
• Care for infants experiencing neonatal withdrawal and support feeding and weight gain milestones
• May be asked to provide care for stable postpartum mothers and babies, with facility-provided training available for those without prior experience in maternal care
• Adhere to a leadership-set 6-week block schedule; remain flexible to fill staffing gaps and submit all time-off requests prior to assignment start
• Participate in weekend shift rotation (6–9 shifts per 6-week schedule) and may be included in holiday rotation

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in the state of Colorado (or compact eligibility)
• Minimum of 2 years of NICU experience
• Current BLS certification
• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
• Must be present in-state for the full week of unit orientation, even if initial modules are completed remotely
• Must be willing to float to a facility approximately 26 miles away in the event of low census or staffing need

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience strongly preferred
• Experience caring for postpartum mothers in an LDRP model setting
• Familiarity with charge RN responsibilities in a NICU environment
