Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery (LDRP)

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | Up to 26 Weeks | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care across all areas of a 15-bed LDRP unit, including antepartum, labor and delivery, and couplet care
- Perform OR circulating and scrub nurse duties as needed in a 2-operating-room setting
- Deliver newborn nursing care at delivery, including lab draws and newborn infant hearing screens using the ALGO 5 machine
- Conduct fetal heart monitoring (FHM) triage across 3 triage bays following AWHONN staffing guidelines
- Float to other areas of the facility as a sitter when needed, and to an additional campus location when census allows
- Provide holiday coverage with flexibility to accommodate staffing demands; work every other weekend
Required Qualifications
- Valid Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of experience in OB, Mother/Baby, and Labor and Delivery
- Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate and/or NCC C-EFM
- Required skills: OR circulating and FHM triage
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR
- Supervisor-level references required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- AWHONN Advanced certification
- Scrub nurse experience
