Travel RN – Neuro Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite | Travel (candidates must reside 60+ miles from facility to qualify as travel)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide progressive care nursing for adult and geriatric patients on a 20-bed Neuro Progressive Care Unit (5th floor)
• Care for patients with stable post-stroke diagnoses, stable post-neurosurgery conditions, telemetry monitoring needs, and general medical overflow
• Manage a patient assignment at a 5:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Utilize Cerner EHR for documentation, order management, and patient records
• Float as needed to Medical, Telemetry, and Neuro units to support staffing needs

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in good standing (compact or North Carolina state license)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a PCU, Neuro, or Stepdown setting
• Experience with neuro medical, stroke, neuro-orthopedic surgical, and telemetry patient populations
• Proficiency with Cerner EHR
• No on-call requirements

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a progressive care or intermediate care unit with telemetry monitoring
• Familiarity with neuro-orthopedic surgical patient care and post-stroke management protocols
• Comfort floating across Medical and Telemetry units in a fast-paced hospital environment
