Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Location

Florence, SC

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required | Holiday Rotation

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care in a Stepdown/IMC/PCU setting with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
  • Monitor and assess patients requiring intermediate-level care, identifying and responding to changes in condition
  • Float within scope to like units as needed, consistent with expectations for staff nurses
  • Participate in holiday rotation and every-other-weekend scheduling
  • Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
  • Participate in emergency response team assignments during hurricane season (June–November) as required

Required Qualifications

  • Active South Carolina RN license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start date
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a Stepdown, IMC, or PCU setting
  • Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
  • No first-time travelers; prior travel nursing experience required
  • Must reside outside a 60-mile radius of the facility (locals not accepted)

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • NIHSS certification preferred
  • Prior experience charting in Epic
  • Familiarity with intermediate or progressive care unit workflows and patient populations
