Registered Nurse – Pediatric Float Pool (PICU/NICU)

Charlottesville, VA

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:00) | 36 or 48 Hours Per Week | 13-Week Assignment

Key Responsibilities

  • Float across multiple pediatric units including PICU, NICU, Pediatric Med/Surg, Pediatric PACU, Pediatric ED Boarders, and Postpartum/Mother Baby
  • Provide direct patient care within scope of practice across assigned pediatric specialty areas
  • Adhere to facility float pool policies and unit-specific protocols
  • Rotate every other weekend and every other holiday as required
  • Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Epic EMR

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of PICU experience required
  • NICU experience required; must be comfortable across pediatric care settings
  • Active RN license in Virginia (pending license accepted; must be in hand by the Wednesday prior to start date)
  • Required certifications: BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS
  • Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certification required (may be submitted as pending)
  • Epic EMR experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Previous Pediatric PACU experience highly preferred
  • Prior NICU/PICU float pool experience preferred
  • BSN preferred
