Registered Nurse – Pediatric Float Pool (PICU/NICU)
Location
Charlottesville, VA
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:00) | 36 or 48 Hours Per Week | 13-Week Assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Float across multiple pediatric units including PICU, NICU, Pediatric Med/Surg, Pediatric PACU, Pediatric ED Boarders, and Postpartum/Mother Baby
- Provide direct patient care within scope of practice across assigned pediatric specialty areas
- Adhere to facility float pool policies and unit-specific protocols
- Rotate every other weekend and every other holiday as required
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Epic EMR
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of PICU experience required
- NICU experience required; must be comfortable across pediatric care settings
- Active RN license in Virginia (pending license accepted; must be in hand by the Wednesday prior to start date)
- Required certifications: BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS
- Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certification required (may be submitted as pending)
- Epic EMR experience required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous Pediatric PACU experience highly preferred
- Prior NICU/PICU float pool experience preferred
- BSN preferred
