Job Title

Travel RN – Medical Surgical / Observation

Location

Smyrna, Tennessee

Schedule / Job Type

Key Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Observation unit during overnight shifts
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
Monitor and document patient status, vital signs, and response to treatment
Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory standards

Required Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Tennessee or compact state eligibility
Minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical Surgical nursing
Current BLS certification (ACLS may be required)
Ability to work 12-hour overnight shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Travel nursing availability for a 13-week contract assignment

Preferred Experience / Skills

Prior experience in an Observation unit setting
Previous travel nursing experience
Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
