Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit (PCU / IMC / Stepdown)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3 x 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week) | 13-Week Assignment

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care in a Progressive Care / Stepdown unit setting during overnight shifts
  • Monitor and assess patients with cardiac and other complex medical conditions requiring intermediate-level care
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
  • Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and nursing protocols
  • Document patient assessments, care provided, and clinical outcomes accurately and in a timely manner

Required Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or a valid Compact State license
  • Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
  • Current ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
  • Strong cardiac nursing experience required
  • Must not reside within 80 miles of the facility (local radius restriction applies)

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Prior experience in a PCU, IMC, or Stepdown unit environment
  • Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
