Registered Nurse – Telemetry

Contract | Night Shift | Every Other Weekend / Every Other Holiday
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess patients on a telemetry unit, interpreting cardiac rhythms and responding to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic health record
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
Required Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Iowa or compact licensure
- Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- Demonstrated experience in telemetry or cardiac monitoring
- Ability to work night shifts, every other weekend, and every other holiday
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a telemetry or step-down unit setting
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills in a fast-paced environment
