Registered Nurse – Operating Room

Contract | Days | 4x10-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 5:00 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide skilled perioperative nursing care within the Operating Room setting
• Perform scrub and/or circulating duties as required by the surgical team
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and OR staff to ensure patient safety and procedural efficiency
• Adhere to facility protocols, infection control standards, and surgical safety checklists
• Participate in on-call rotation as discussed during the interview process
• Float to like units or campuses within a 20-mile radius as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in Tennessee or a valid compact RN license compliant with NLC guidelines — must be active at time of submission (no pending licenses accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room experience with at least one prior travel assignment completed, or 3 years of recent OR experience without prior travel
• Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility — no exceptions
• Current BLS certification (must be active throughout the assignment; a renewal plan must be documented if expiration falls during the assignment)
• Willingness to work on-call as required
• Willingness to work required holidays if the assignment spans end-of-year holiday periods

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Transplant experience strongly preferred
• Experience with EPIC electronic health records
• 3 or more years of recent OR experience
