Physical Therapist (PT) – Long Term Acute Care Hospital (LTACH) – Travel

Contract | Travel | Days | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM | 32 Hours Weekly Guaranteed | 13-Week Assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy evaluation and treatment to adult and older adult patients (18+) in a Long Term Acute Care Hospital (LTACH) setting across assigned floors
- Mobilize patients with complex medical equipment including ventilators, tracheostomies, nasogastric tubes, PEG tubes, and IV lines
- Utilize cardiac chairs, Hoyer lifts, and other mobility equipment to support patient rehabilitation and functional progression
- Manage a full caseload of patients presenting with diagnoses such as respiratory failure, cardiac conditions, brain injuries (CVA, TBI, anoxia), and wound care needs
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently using the ProTouch electronic health record (EHR) system
- Operate effectively in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong clinical judgment and an outgoing, team-oriented approach
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist program
- Current Texas PT license or valid PT Compact License
- BLS certification required
- Minimum of 1 year of acute care experience
- Ability to work weekend hours with prior approval for flex scheduling
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ICU experience strongly preferred
- Familiarity with complex patient populations including ventilator-dependent and neurologically impaired patients
- Experience with ProTouch or similar EHR platforms
