Contract (13 Weeks) | 36 Hours Per Week | 12-Hour Day/Night Rotating Shifts (7:00 AM–7:30 PM / 7:30 PM–7:00 AM) | Every Other Weekend and Every Other Holiday Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced, Trauma Level II Emergency Department serving a diverse patient population including cardiac, neurological, pediatric, geriatric, and respiratory cases
• Manage a patient assignment of 3–4 patients per shift in an 18-bed unit that is stroke certified
• Perform lab draws, administer nebulizer treatments, and utilize Pyxis medication dispensing systems
• Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner using Epic electronic health records
• Participate in on-call requirements, including a minimum of 12 on-call hours per 6-week period with a 30-minute response time
• Float to additional emergency department locations as needed based on staffing requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS certifications (American Red Cross or American Heart Association accepted)
• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience
• Minimum of 3–6 months of prior travel nursing experience (required)
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Proficiency with Epic electronic charting (required)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a stroke-certified emergency department
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage tasks efficiently, and adapt to a rapidly changing environment
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to integrate effectively into an established team
