Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care across Telemetry, Cardiovascular Telemetry, Neuro Telemetry, and Medical-Surgical units with patient ratios of 1:3–4
• Interpret EKGs using centralized telemetry monitoring systems and respond appropriately to dysrhythmias
• Titrate cardiac drips including Amiodarone, Cardene, Nitroglycerin, Heparin, Dobutamine, and Cardizem (titrating down only)
• Float between Telemetry, Medical-Surgical, and observation units across two campuses as needed, with unit and campus notification provided approximately 1.5 hours prior to shift start
• Care for a diverse patient population including post-cath lab, post-vascular procedures, post-CABG, neuro/post-surgical, CVA post-TPA, orthopedic, surgical, and oncology patients
• Adhere to weekend requirements of every other weekend or 4 weekend shifts per 4-week period depending on unit assignment

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in good standing
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Demonstrated ability to titrate cardiac drips
• Ability to interpret EKGs and identify dysrhythmias
• Must pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to contract start (maximum of 2 attempts within 48 hours of offer)
• Must pass a Simulation Lab assessment on day one of orientation

Preferred Experience / Skills

• NIHSS certification (required for Neuro Telemetry unit assignment)
• Prior experience in a high-acuity telemetry, cardiovascular, or neuro setting
• Comfort with floating to varying units and acuity levels, including ICU, Cardiac Tele, MedSurg, and observation areas
• Experience with centralized telemetry monitoring systems such as GE Monitors
