Job Title

Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery

Statesboro, Georgia

Schedule / Job Type

Key Responsibilities

Monitor and assist laboring patients throughout the antepartum, intrapartum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases of obstetrical care
Circulate for vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections; attend deliveries to support newborn resuscitation
Triage obstetrical patients at 20 weeks gestation and above
Recover vaginal and cesarean delivery patients and provide care to antepartum patients requiring management in Labor & Delivery
Communicate effectively with providers and demonstrate critical thinking and clinical judgment in the planning and delivery of safe patient care
Delegate patient care priorities and provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and facility policies

Required Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
Minimum 2 previously completed travel assignments in Labor & Delivery
Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
Ability to pass an EKG competency assessment
Ability to meet every-other-weekend scheduling requirements

Preferred Experience / Skills

Experience with CPN (GE) and Cerner electronic medical records
Experience circulating for cesarean sections
Familiarity with AWHONN staffing standards and patient ratios (1:1 or 1:2)
