Registered Nurse – Oncology / PCU
Location
Omaha, NE
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Days | 12-Hour Shifts (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM) | Every Other Weekend Required | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to adult oncology and trauma PCU patients on an 18-bed unit with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4–1:5
- Titrate and manage drips including Chemotherapy, Heparin, Cardizem, Insulin, and Protonix
- Operate and monitor high-flow respiratory equipment as needed
- Conduct hourly rounding and participate in bedside shift report as a core patient experience practice
- Float to other Med/Surg and PCU units at the same level of care as needed
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including Nursing Assistants, Charge Nurses, PT/OT, Case Management, Social Work, and Dietary
Required Qualifications
- Active RN licensure in good standing
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- Proficiency with Epic EMR and Alaris IV pumps
- Compliance with facility fingernail policy — artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care areas
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Oncology nursing experience preferred; strong PCU experience without oncology background will be considered
- ONS/ONCC certification preferred
- Chemotherapy administration certification preferred
