Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve swallowing, cognitive, and communication abilities and reduce aspiration risk
• Lead, guide, and direct the delivery of speech language pathology and audiology services within the facility
• Provide therapy services in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations, standards, and established facility policies and procedures
• Deliver care to a diverse caseload including short-term rehabilitation patients and long-term care residents with cognitive, dietary, and neurological diagnoses
• Collaborate closely with nursing staff and physicians to coordinate and obtain appropriate services for residents

Required Qualifications

• Valid, unrestricted Missouri State Speech Language Pathology license
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology required
• Minimum of 1 year of SLP experience required
• Long-term care (LTC) or rehabilitation setting experience required
• Valid driver's license
• Knowledge of skilled nursing home regulations, procedures, and guidelines pertaining to long-term care

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working with a wide variety of cognitive and neurological diagnoses
• Familiarity with post-acute rehabilitation environments and skilled nursing facility operations
