Job Title
Travel RN – Medical/Surgical (General Medicine)
Location
Birmingham, Alabama
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | 36 Hours/Week Guaranteed | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 24-bed General Medicine unit with a 1:6 patient ratio
- Administer medications and treatments utilizing Barcode Medication Administration (BCMA) protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate and communicate patient care plans
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately within the EMR system
- Float to other units within the acute care division as required
- Work every other weekend as part of the standard schedule
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Minimum 2 years of acute care experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Proficiency with BCMA systems
- Strong time management and interdisciplinary communication skills
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with EPIC EMR
- Background in General Medicine or Medical/Surgical nursing
- Professional, adaptable, and patient-centered approach to care with a commitment to established processes
