Key Responsibilities
- Interpret the plan of medical care and perform clinical assessments to ensure nursing care is provided in a safe and competent manner
- Administer medications to patients and monitor for reactions or side effects
- Record and maintain accurate patient medical information, vital signs, and detailed reports
- Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions
- Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
- Modify patient treatment plans as indicated by patients' responses and conditions
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Massachusetts or compact eligibility
- Experience providing direct patient care in an oncology setting
- Ability to perform clinical decision-making regarding individualized nursing care
- Strong documentation skills with ability to maintain accurate and detailed medical records
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in an inpatient oncology unit
- Familiarity with oncology-specific medications, chemotherapy protocols, and related side effect management
