Job Title
Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (Renal)
Location
Augusta, GA
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Nights (3x12 Hours, 19:00–07:00)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to an adult and geriatric population on a Renal Medical Surgical unit
- Manage a patient assignment of 5–6 patients within a 49-room unit with an average daily census of 48
- Utilize Epic for electronic health record documentation and Pyxis for medication management
- Communicate effectively using SBAR methodology with interdisciplinary team members
- Float within the facility and within scope of practice as needed
- Work every other weekend and fulfill holiday obligations per assignment schedule
Required Qualifications
- Active RN licensure in Georgia or a Compact state
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience (first-time travelers accepted)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Proficiency with Epic (required)
- Ability to complete all compliance and onboarding documentation by the required deadlines prior to start date
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a Renal or Medical Surgical setting
- Familiarity with Pyxis medication dispensing systems and SBAR communication framework
