Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 24-bed Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit operating under a virtual integrated care nursing model at a nurse-to-patient ratio of 6:1
• Monitor and interpret telemetry strips independently; telemetry monitor techs are present on the unit but RNs must be competent in strip reading
• Care for patients with common diagnoses including CHF, diabetes, pneumonia, CKD, and general med/surg telemetry conditions
• Manage patients requiring respiratory support equipment including CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen
• Float to all med/surg units as needed
• Follow manager-assigned scheduling; block scheduling is not available

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in the state of Texas (or compact license eligibility)
• Experience in Medical Surgical and/or Telemetry nursing
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry/cardiac monitor strips
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Ability to work every other weekend and required holidays
• Willingness to adhere to navy blue scrub dress code

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience caring for patients on CPAP, BiPAP, or high-flow oxygen therapy
• Familiarity with virtual integrated care or remote monitoring nursing models
• Experience working in a float pool or multi-unit med/surg environment
