Registered Nurse – NICU

Location

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Day and Night shifts available (3x12-hour shifts); 7:00 AM–7:30 PM or 7:00 PM–7:30 AM | Monday through Friday with 2–3 required weekends per 6-week scheduling period

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to critically ill neonatal patients in a Level III/IV NICU setting
  • Manage post-operative patients, including care involving g-tubes and trach/vent management
  • Operate and monitor various modes of invasive and noninvasive ventilation
  • Float to other units as needed based on staffing and patient census requirements
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver specialized pediatric and neonatal care

Required Qualifications

  • Active RN license required
  • Minimum of 2 years of total NICU Level III/IV experience (combination of Level III and Level IV may be used to meet the 2-year total)
  • Minimum of 1 full year of Level IV NICU experience required
  • At least 2 years of acute care inpatient RN experience within the last 3 years in the submitted specialty
  • BLS certification required (American Heart Association only)
  • NRP certification required (American Heart Association only)
  • Must pass a telemetry/cardiac rhythm interpretation exam prior to start (passing score of 80% or higher; 100% identification of lethal rhythms required on adult exam)

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Experience with a broad range of invasive and noninvasive ventilation modes in a neonatal population
  • Familiarity with post-operative neonatal and pediatric patient care protocols
  • Experience working in a high-acuity, comprehensive pediatric medical and surgical center environment
