Travel RN – Oncology (Nights)

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 36 or 48 Hours Per Week | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize the nursing process to perform assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care for all age groups, including oncology, neuro overflow, medical, and end-of-life patients
- Administer medications accurately and document care using an electronic medical record system
- Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient outcomes and comfort
- Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers and maintain professional accountability
- Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information in accordance with applicable standards and regulations
- Float to other units within the med/surg service line as needed
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license — must meet eligibility criteria for licensure in the state of Missouri or currently hold Missouri licensure
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) only
- Minimum 1 year of inpatient Oncology experience
- Proficiency in medication administration, EMR documentation, and physical assessment
- Flu vaccination (or facility-approved exemption) required November 1 through April 1; declinations are not accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ONS Chemotherapy Certification
- Experience with Alaris pumps, NOVA glucometers, remote telemetry, and EPIC EMR
- Team-oriented, reliable, and flexible personality well-suited to a fast-paced oncology environment
