Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days | 5x8s with flex weekend coverage (2–3 days/month) or 4x10s (Sun–Wed or Wed–Sat) | Rotating holidays | No self-scheduling
Key Responsibilities
- Provide acute inpatient physical therapy services across Emergency Department and Med/Surg areas
- Manage a caseload of 8–10 patients per day
- Treat patients with case types including total joints, CVA, CHF, COPD, and sepsis
- Interpret and apply lab values and pathology findings to guide treatment decisions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate patient care and discharge planning
- Work alongside PTAs to deliver comprehensive therapy services
Required Qualifications
- Active Arizona Physical Therapist (PT) license in hand at time of start
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Minimum of one year of clinical experience outside of clinical rotations/internships
- Demonstrated understanding of pathology and lab value interpretation
- Strong interdisciplinary communication skills
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in an acute inpatient hospital setting
- Experience treating complex medical case types such as CVA, CHF, COPD, and post-surgical total joint patients
