Contract | Full-Time | Days | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Telemetry/PCU unit managing a patient population that includes elevated troponin, active chest pain, NSTEMI, post-STEMI (following ICU recovery), pre/post cardiac catheterization with and without intervention, peritoneal dialysis, and occasional oncology or post-surgical overflow patients
• Monitor and document cardiac telemetry strips every 4 hours, exporting data and documenting rhythm interpretations directly into the EMR (EPIC)
• Manage set-rate drips including Cardizem, Amiodarone, Labetalol, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Heparin, Integrilin per protocol, and Nitroglycerin
• Manage patients on BiPAP, CPAP, and High Flow oxygen in coordination with Respiratory Therapy
• Maintain a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio; collaborate with Patient Care Technicians and interdisciplinary support staff including in-house Hospitalists, Pharmacy, and RT available 24/7
• Adhere to unit dress code, scheduling requirements including every-other-weekend rotation, and documentation standards within EPIC using Omnicell for medication management

Required Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current BLS certification (must be unexpired)
• Current ACLS certification (must be unexpired)
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR
• Experience with cardiac telemetry monitoring and strip documentation
• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical or religious exemption requests considered on a case-by-case basis)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience with telemetry or PCU-level patient populations including cardiac drip management
• Familiarity with Phillips Cardiac Monitors and centralized monitoring systems
• Experience with peritoneal dialysis and/or cardiac catheterization pre/post-procedure care
