Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical Float

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (18:45–07:15) | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical float assignment, covering multiple units as needed
• Manage occasional critical care patients as part of float responsibilities
• Float within the facility or to nearby affiliate locations based on staffing needs
• Adhere to unit protocols, documentation standards, and patient safety practices during night shift hours
• Participate in holiday coverage as required per assignment terms

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Carolina at time of submission — no pending licenses accepted
• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience
• Current BLS certification required
• Current ACLS certification required
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify at travel rate
• Former permanent staff must have been separated for at least 5 years before being eligible to return as a traveler

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a float pool or multi-unit nursing environment
• Comfort and experience managing critical care patients in a Medical Surgical setting
