Speech Language Pathologist

Key Responsibilities

Evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders in a skilled nursing facility setting
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments and clinical findings
Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as clinically indicated
Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate patient care and discharge planning
Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and home exercise programs

Required Qualifications

Master's degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology
Current and valid Speech-Language Pathologist licensure in the state of Massachusetts
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA
Experience working in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) setting

Preferred Experience / Skills

Prior experience with geriatric patient populations
Familiarity with MDS documentation and Medicare/Medicaid billing requirements in a SNF environment
