Contract | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week | Rotating Weekends

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on an acute Medical/Surgical unit serving adult and geriatric populations (ages 18+)
• Utilize critical thinking skills and decisive judgment to assess, plan, and implement individualized patient care plans
• Operate and monitor unit equipment including telemetry monitors, Baxter IV pumps, Kangaroo pumps, bladder scanners, and Dynamaps
• Document all patient care activities accurately using the Cerner electronic health record system
• Maintain patient ratios of 5:1 to 6:1 while working with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
• Float occasionally to like units as needed to support staffing requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience
• Current ACLS certification
• Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate, timely action
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify for travel placement

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience working on a Medical/Surgical unit
• Familiarity with Cerner EHR documentation
• Experience caring for adult and geriatric patient populations
